City Offices

Newberry City Government:

The City of Newberry has a Commission/Manager form of government. This means that the City Commission and Mayor make policy decisions, and the City Manager, as the Chief Executive Officer, executes those policies through operational procedures. Regular city commission meetings are typically held twice a month to conduct city business and provide citizens with an opportunity to participate in the government process.  In addition, the commission meets for workshops on specific issues.  The city commission also appoints three officers (City Attorney, City Clerk, City Manager) to administer the duties of the city.
