REQUEST FOR BIDS TO ROOF MUNICIPAL STRUCTURE
Funding Provided by a Tourism Product Development Capital Grant to the City of Newberry (Job #27)
BID TITLE - Supply labor and materials to roof the City-owned “old Health Department Building” at 25435 West Newberry Road, Newberry, Florida 32669
BID NUMBER: B2012-001 – JOB DESCRIPTION: Re-roofing 25435 West Newberry Road, Newberry, Florida, which is the current Newberry Tourist Information Visitor Center/Newberry Main Street Organization building (old Health Department building).
The project is being funded by a Tourism Product Development Capital Grant awarded to the City of Newberry through the Tourism Product Development funding program as administered by the City of Gainesville Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs, as provided from a portion of Alachua County Tourist Development Tax Revenues. This project is required to comply with Section 125.0104(5), F.S.
The following constitutes the bid package:
BID TO INCLUDE: all labor and material costs to address at a minimum:
- Clean existing roof
- Install one ply Flintlastic modified granulated SA cap sheet
- Fabricate and install new galvanized eve drip
- Supply and install new 10” galvanized goose neck vents
- Bend up existing through wall flashing to allow for installation of new built up flashing at roof to wall intersection and bend flashing back into place and secure and seal.
- No A/C or electrical work is included
- Clean up and magnetize ground as work progresses and at end of project
- Contractor 5 year workmanship warranty
- Manufacturer standards material warranty
