City Offices Closed for Independence Day

Other than emergency services, all City of Newberry government offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. City offices will re-open for regular business Wednesday, July 5th.

Customers wishing to make a bill payment over the holiday may do so through the City’s telephone system at 352-472-2161 or online (click here). As always, you can contact us 24/7 for any needs at 352-472-2161 ext 1. or by using the Newberry FL Connect app (click here). Outages may be reported online (click here) or over the phone. 

Garbage and Recycling Collection:

The holiday will affect curbside residential solid waste and recycling collection services scheduled for Tuesday (July 4th), in the Newberry curbside collection area. Services will be delayed by one day. Tuesday's collection will occur on Wednesday, Wednesday's collection will occur on Thursday, Thursday's collection will occur on Friday, and Friday's collection will occur on Saturday.

The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, July 10th, 2023.
