City Offices Closed for Memorial Day

The City of Newberry will be observing Memorial Day, a day of remembrance for those who have served our nation. In honor of this, all government offices, excluding emergency services, will be closed on Monday, May 29th, 2023.

While offices may be closed, residents can still make bill payments through the City’s phone system at 352-472-2161 or online (click here). As always, you can contact us 24/7 for any needs at 352-472-2161 ext 1 or by using the Newberry FL Connect app. Outages may be reported online (click here) or over the phone. 

Garbage and Recycling Collection:

The holiday will affect curbside residential solid waste and recycling collection services scheduled for Monday (May 29th), in the Newberry curbside collection area. Services will be delayed by one day. Monday's collection will occur on Tuesday, Tuesday's collection will occur on Wednesday, Wednesday's collection will occur on Thursday, Thursday's collection will occur on Friday, and Friday's collection will occur on Saturday.

The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, June 5th, 2023.
