  • Light Up Christmas Contest (Dec 2 - Dec 16): Marvel at the festive spirit of Newberry with the Light Up Christmas Contest. Residents are encouraged to stroll through neighborhoods and enjoy the dazzling light and decoration displays, casting votes for their favorites. Cast your vote for your favorite lit neighborhood and be part of the glow that brightens our city using the Christmas Prism app (download here)!
  • Tree Lighting Ceremony (Dec 2, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM): Witness the enchantment of our annual tree lighting ceremony as we illuminate Newberry with the radiance of the holiday spirit! Gather with friends, family, and neighbors to feel the magical moment when our magnificent tree and downtown come alive with twinkling lights. Enjoy hot cocoa, a visit with Santa himself, and join in with our carolers as we kick off the holiday season! 
  • Vintage Christmas Market @ Sycamore Lane (Dec 2, 6:00 PM): Step back in time at the Vintage Christmas Market located at 25310 West Newberry Road. Browse vintage-inspired crafts, antiques, collectibles, and handmade goods - perfect for finding unique holiday gifts.
  • Movie in the Park (Dec 9, 5:00 PM): Join a community gathering at Barry Park, 25310 W Newberry Road, for a heartwarming movie night. Bring your blankets and enjoy hot cocoa, laughter, and the magic of Christmas under the stars.
  • NMSO Gingerbread Contest (Dec 16, 3:00 PM): Display your baking talents at the Newberry Main Street organization's Gingerbread House Contest. This fun and friendly competition will be held at the Municipal Building, 25440 West Newberry Road.
  • Christmas Parade (Dec 16, 5:30 PM): Don’t miss the spectacular Christmas Parade, a visual treat with beautifully decorated floats, vibrant marching bands, and festive participants. The parade route will wind through Newberry's streets, bringing joy and excitement to all.
  • Christmas on the Square (Dec 16, 6:00 PM): Gather at 1739 SW 248th Drive for a family-friendly event featuring Christmas music, Santa Claus, bounce houses, crafts, food, and hot chocolate. This is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate the season with loved ones.
