National Drug Take Back Day

The City of Newberry has partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Alachua County Health Promotion and Wellness Coalition, and the Alachua County Sheriff to give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Help prevent prescription and over the counter drug abuse/misuse by properly disposing of them at our fire station on April 27th.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will take place on Saturday, April 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., local time, at sites nationwide. The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked. For more information please visit: www.DEATakeBack.com
