The Planning and Zoning Board meets the first Monday of each month at 6 PM at City Hall, except for holidays. Of the six city resident members of the board, five residents shall be appointed by the city commission and one, as a non-voting ex officio member, shall be the Mayor. No member of the Planning and Zoning Board shall be an employee of the city.
The members of the Planning and Zoning Board also serve as the city's historic preservation agency, the Historic Architectural Review Board.
