Do Not Call List

The City of Newberry's Codes require that Canvassers and Solicitors have a City issued Permit to do business within the City. This allows the individual permit holder to solicit, peddle, or vend on an itinerant basis, at any residence in person between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The Codes also include a requirement for the City to maintain a "Do Not Call" list of individuals, who have listed their names and addresses in order to prevent canvassers and solicitors under this section from calling on their residence or business. The list shall be provided to all canvassers and solicitors approved for a permit. It shall be unlawful for any canvasser or solicitor to call upon any location listed upon the Do Not Call list.

To add your name and address to this list, please complete the form below.

Note only one submittal per address is needed. The entire developments of Countryway Of Newberry, Oak Park, and Oak View Village are already listed, per their Bylaws.

Please remember that direction (SW or NW) and ordinals are a required part of Newberry addresses. For example: "SW 250th Street," not "250 Street."

Each Individual Canvasser and Solicitor shall display their City of Newberry Mobile Vendor Permit in a prominent position near or on the person's vehicle or structure used to facilitate sales. If no vehicle or structure is so used, the person shall maintain the Mobile Vendor Permit on their person.

Violations of this section shall be prosecuted as provided under revocation of license herein. Please Report Violations to the Code Enforcement Officer through this website or the Newberry Connect app.

If you have any questions, please email BusinessTax@NewberryFL.gov or call 352-472-5440.
